Overview:

As a Procurement Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement team and ensuring efficient sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services. Your role involves developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to cost-effective procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Procurement:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team of procurement professionals.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Vendor Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues or disputes.
  4. Procurement Processes:
    • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, from requisition to delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and relevant regulations.
  5. Budget Oversight:
    • Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage procurement budgets.
    • Monitor and control costs, aiming for optimal value and cost-effectiveness.
  6. Market Research:
    • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new procurement tools.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and benchmark pricing.

Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and ethical procurement practices.
